The Prestige Teaser

Running time 0:30| October 2007| Created by Ang Yi Xin | Adobe Photoshop and Adobe After Effects.

This is an unofficial 30 sec teaser to introduce and promotion the 2006 film, The Prestige, directed by Christopher Nolan. Utilising the theme of the “transported man” and the voiceover from the film, this motion graphic piece is animated to realise my creative vision of how I feel the film could be marketed visually.

ck One unoffical TVC

Running time 0:10| September 2007|Created by Ang Yi Xin | Adobe After Effects.

Unlike the usual workflow of a TVC production, this began with how I define water conceptually and visually and an experimental shoot of water related footages. After juxtaposing and tweaking with different footages, and ended up with this sequence that I feel could probably use for a perfume product that exudes youth and the refreshing energy. Then I thought of CKone. I will definitely not end up with interesting effect if I started with the product.

Hope on Me no More

Running time 2:36| April 2007|Created by Ang Yi Xin | Framethief, Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe After Effects

This stop-motion piece tells a story about a hopscotch and his encounter with a girl. I made everything from the set to the puppet and animated the story. It was a tedious yet fun experience. I learnt a lot from my first big stop-motion project. Wished it was executed with better skills. Will try even harder next time.

Kyle’s Missing Bow

Running time 6:09| November 2006|Created by Ang Yi Xin | Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe After Effects

I have always wanted to tell a story with music even though I am very un-musically inclined. Thanks to all the creators of the music used in this film, I am able to tell a story about how 2 long-lost brothers found connection with each other through music. This animatic emulates the style of the movies in the 1920s where there is no dialog and music plays an important role in telling the story.
